Um, Hi there
I've been going through today a little bit like I'm jet lagged or something. Or like I've been driving for 20 hours in a car with no shocks.
This was the third week at the fun factory. It's a government building on the east side of town that handles lots of military IT and related stuffs. Inside it somewhere I have a new cubicle where I wait for software to be installed so I can start doing my job. It's a lot of walking too - with parking issues and the size of the facility - I logged nearly 4 miles yesterday and I'm not really used to it. Yes, that's according to my pedometer - nearly 8,000 steps (of the 10k my doctor would really rather I were doing). Since I don't know if you've eaten yet or not, I won't get into the foot problems that have sprung up as a result, but they are slowly getting better anyway. I think I need better shoes.
So... feh. Happy 4th of Julio. The neighborhood is much quieter this year compared to other years. It must be the economy? Or maybe everybody is saving their powder for tomorrow night.
The good news is that my eBook updating the Jefferson Bible is now available in 10 different eBook formats via Smashwords, and I'm participating in a 50% off coupon deal for July so folks can pick it up for only $1.
It's also available on Scribd as a free read or a $2 download.
The paperback version is available on Lulu.com for $9.98.
I have an ISBN number for it and everything now. This means I have more marketing avenues available now. I do need to correct a few minor typos and stuff here and there before I let it rip, but I hope to have that all squared away by the end of the weekend.
And, yes, I've been hacking on this blog's template. I needed a wider display to accommodate the recent videos, and we ran out of background parchmentpaperthingy on one side. I dislike being put in a box with only X, Y, and Z to choose from. I may take my marbles from blogger completely and move this blog. I don't know.
And don't mind the ads. They are not new anyway, I just moved them. They won't click on you if you don't click on them.
Come to think of it, this is a rare chance for me to play with what passes for CSS on this site.... Argh and it is loading slow now for no good reason other than... too much crap in the header that I can't get rid of? Dangit.
So vote in the comments if you think this color combo is particularly hideous. I am not the graphic designer you're looking for.
Heh.
